Students who cleared CA Inter and enter into articleship are vulnerable to this risk.

It is the risk of the Identity Shift. They were in the “I’m a student” mindset until they clear CA Inter. But once they get into articleship, they get into a new routine; they see new things like monthly stipend, principal, audit managers, clients etc.

This shifts their identity from being a student to being an employee.

Eventually they succumb to office deadlines, client deliverables, all-nighters during season.

With work being too much on plate already, most students resort to this unconscious move of “I will take care of studies during the last 6 months period before the exam.”

And you can predict how the story goes. Firefighting every day during the last 6 months.

While work is unavoidable, you shouldn’t become unaware of this truth: You are a student until you see "PASS" on that Final result card.

Never lose the student mindset and get into that “employee” mindset.

The Tactical Fix:

  • Hit 30 hours a week on academics.

  • 3 hours on workdays.

  • 6-7 hours on weekends.

Accumulate 2,500 hours of focused prep over the next 18-20 months, and you won't need to panic during exam leave.
